We will be running the workouts on Fridays during regular class times as well as at “Friday Night Lights.” Participating in the Open is also how you qualify for the Alaska Invitational, an in-person all-Alaskan CrossFit competition. More on that below!
What is Friday Night Lights?
Cheer on the community or run the open workouts on Friday evenings. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Please join even if you aren’t doing the workout! We need judges and cheering for our Open athletes.

This pizza and BYOB shindig is our way of saying goodbye to the 2024 CrossFit Open and celebrating each of you, your hard work and your dedication. Raffle prizes will be handed out as well as the coveted Spirit of the Open winner.

When else can I do the Open workouts?
If you are unable to make it to the gym on Friday, you have the option to run the workout on Sundays at 1 p.m. This is also your chance to re-run, if you deem necessary.
Did someone say prizes?
You can earn raffle tickets throughout the entire 3 weeks of the Open. The more tickets = the more chances you will win some awesome prizes. Prizes will be handed out at the End of the Open soiree.
Spirit of the Open! We will be awarding a Spirit of the Open winner. Chosen by your coaches, this trophy will go out to the athlete who shows up, works hard, gives their best effort and shows support for the community during the entirety of this years Open.

What is the Alaska Invitational?
The Alaska Invitational is an opportunity to compete against the top Athletes in the state in each division on May 4, 2024 at CrossFit Northern Exposure.
To qualify, you must complete all 2024 Open workouts in 1 division. Athletes must select between RX, Scaled, Intermediate, or Masters 55+ at the online qualifier sign-up. If you choose the Intermediate division, you must perform all open WODS as an RX Athlete. You will not be permitted to mix divisions. You must then enter your judged and validated scores onto our leaderboard.
REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN AND CLOSES ON MONDAY, MARCH 18, 2024. Register here.
Anyone interested in receiving an invite to the Invitational must register on the Competition Corner platform. Then, simply enter your 24.1, 24.2, and 24.3 scores. All scores should be submitted by 1300hrs after the Open WODS are released the following Monday. Ex... 3-4-24, 3-11-24, and 3-18-24.
Q: How many will get an invite, and how will we be notified?
A: We will send email invites to the top 10 male and female RX, Intermediate, and Scaled Athletes. And top 3 male and female Masters 55+
Q : Cost?
A: Your registration is free to participate in the online qualifier. If you receive an invite and choose to compete in the 2024 Alaska Invitational, registration will be $80.00 You will create memories and a chance to throw down with the fittest in the last frontier. Oh, and you will also receive some sweet swag.

A: The 2024 Alaska Invitational will be held on May 4, 2024 at CrossFit Northern Exposure
